Joanna Geraghty '94, a sociology major at Holy Cross, will be the keynote speaker at the 19th annual Women in Business Conference as the Chief Executive Officer at JetBlue Airways.

CALL FOR PROPOSALS

The student planning committee is seeking speakers and panelists to provide educational sessions, inspirational discussions, and hands-on workshops at the 19th annual conference.

WOMEN IN SALES PANEL

Wednesday 2/28 7PM in Hogan Suite A

Join the Sales Club and Women in Business as they host a panel of Women who have embarked on their successful careers in Sales. Our panel will be moderated by both Sales Club and WIB who will prompt the panelists with questions to discuss their careers, how they enjoy sales in a male-dominated environment, and their financial successes throughout their career. We will open the event up to questions from the audience at the end. 

Please dress business casual.

THANK YOU TO OUR 2023 KEYNOTE 

Thank you, Christine Anderson '99, Global Head of Corporate Affairs and Senior Managing Director at Blackstone! She shared how she was a political science major during her time on the Hill who first went into government work but later transitioned to finance. Calling on her liberal arts education, she connected it to the work she is doing with Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) issues during an interview with Elisabeth Hiles, Senior Advisor to the Provost and Director of Strategic Initiatives, Office of the President at the College of the Holy Cross.

On Wednesday, March 15 the WIB Club hosted Fiona Boyle '21, financial reporting analyst at Mirador, who shared her thoughts on succeeding as a female in the finance industry.

Holy Cross’ 15th Annual Women in Business Conference Shatters Attendance Record With Virtual Format

The conference provided opportunities for hundreds to network with and learn from successful women entrepreneurs and executives.

Networking & Collaboration: WIB and Dress for Success Story

The WIB student committee organized a meeting with the local Worcester Dress for Success organization to learn more about their goals and ways to support women during the pandemic.

Virtual Library

The Dinand Library has organized a virtual book display for current students who wish to read about women in the workplace, discover various resources and research methods.  Students can make an appointment with a librarian to learn more.

The Women in Business newsletter is a quarterly email announcement to share what is new with the conference, the student planning committee, and upcoming events for students and alumnae. 

Women in Business

Starting in 2006, the student-run Women in Business Conference through the Ciocca Center for Business, Ethics, and Society at the College of the Holy Cross has been an opportunity for alumnae and students to learn from one another and network. The annual event celebrates, honors and inspires the success of Holy Cross women in business. This conference has grown to a year round network with opportunities to connect throughout the year.

The Women in Business student committee supports the efforts of Dress for Success to empower women to achieve economic independence by providing a network of support, professional attire, and the development tools to help women thrive in work and in life.
